Toronto, Ontario, CanadaToronto, the provincial capital of Ontario is the largest city in Canada. This cosmopolitan center is one of the most diversely populated cities with almost half the population collecting together from all other parts of the world. It’s one of the most livable cities worldwide and with good reasons for not only is it a financial powerhouse; it’s also a major player in the performing arts genre.

There are over 50 ballet and dance companies located here alone, along with 6 opera houses, 2 symphony orchestras and countless theaters to enjoy.  The National Ballet of Canada, the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, and the Canadian Opera Company are just a few of the outstanding performances you can enjoy here. You will have a hard time deciding which performance to attend at one of the many venues including the Roy Thomson Hall, the Princess of Wales Theatre, the Royal Alexandra Theatre, Massy Hall, among others.


Toronto even boasts its own Canada’s Walk of Fame highlighting many famous Canadians who have left their artistic mark on thousands. IMAX theatre movie showings are a must see as well as hanging at the Molson open air Amphitheatre. Outdoor theatrical performances can also be enjoyed lawnside at High Park featuring Shakespearean productions that are timeless and that enthrall all ages.

Film Festival buffs will appreciate the Toronto International Film Festival that is hosted every year, and cultural cravers will love the Caribbean Carnivals, the Trinidad and Tobago Carnival, the Pride Parade and other incredibly spectacular year round events.

Boutiques, art galleries, countless incredible restaurants and breweries are doted throughout several different districts in Toronto. From Chinatown, to the Greek District, you can find any kind of culinary delight to satisfy even the most discerning.

A trip to Toronto wouldn’t be complete without a jaunt to the largest shopping mall, the Toronto Eaton Centre. And another must see is of course the CN Tower that gives everyone, tourist and resident alike an incredible 360 view of the beautiful city and its glorious surroundings.
